Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a safe procedure commonly used to treat spider veins and varicose veins. Sclerotherapy utilizes an injection of a sclerosing agent to close down problem veins. Sclerotherapy tends to be more effective and causes less pain than superficial lasers for the treatment of spider veins, in particular. At Miller Vein, we utilize a special instruments including Veinlight™ and Syris polarized headlamp that allows us to see the veins (known as reticular veins) that feed the spider veins. By injecting reticular, as well as spider veins, with the sclerosing agent, we provide a better and more durable cosmetic result.

Miller Vein also utilizes the most current techniques of sclerotherapy for varicose veins including Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy (Endovenous Chemical Ablation) and Foam Sclerotherapy.
