So, take comfort in the fact you're in some of the most capable hands in the world. And, at the end of the day, Madeline Paquette doesn't just treat wounds; she solves the complex underlying issues that keep them from healing.

  • Madeline Paquette is a doctorate-prepared Nurse Practitioner and board-certified Wound Care Specialist with a strong background in complex and infectious disease care.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, summa cum laude, from Eastern Michigan University in 2017.

During her undergraduate studies, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

She has worked as a live-in home health aide, providing care for individuals with disabilities.

Madeline began her nursing career at Michigan Medicine–Ann Arbor, where she worked as a surgical transplant registered nurse for 4.5 years. In this role, she served as a charge nurse and primary unit preceptor and was honored with multiple DAISY Award nominations.

She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Michigan in 2021 with a focus as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

After certification, she practiced in the infectious disease specialty, where her clinical work focused heavily on osteomyelitis and the management of osteomyelitis-related wounds.

During this time, she received specialized training in Hyperbaric Medicine, including the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as an adjunctive treatment for complex and non-healing wounds.

She served for one year on the Board of Directors for the Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner Society of America.

Madeline's work in infectious disease led her to discover a passion for wound care. She completed a WOCNCB-accredited certification program in 2022 and earned board certification as an Advanced Practice Wound Care Nurse in February 2023.

She currently practices full-time as a Wound Care Specialist and also serves as a certified preceptor for the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society. She has a passion for complex and chronic wounds.

Madeline's favorite quote is "Caring creates possibility." She believes when you truly care for your patients and their outcomes, anything is possible.

In her free time she likes to crochet, walk her dogs, and read horror novels.

Madeline is one of 610 board certified advance practice wound care nurses in the world through WOCNCB.
