Ultrasounds play a vital role in the healthcare industry. And we're all aware of ultrasounds being utilized in reproductive care. But did you know ultrasounds are also used in vein care?

Ultrasound Awareness Month

There's a lot to think about in October: Halloween, football, and... ultrasounds?

October is Ultrasound Awareness Month. The goal? Bring clarity to what ultrasounds are and how they’re used at our Miller Vein clinics.

Ultrasounds in Healthcare

Ultrasounds are used across different professions in the medical field, such as cardiovascular, obstetrics and gynecology, musculoskeletal, and vascular.

Each professional uses ultrasounds specific to their focus area, but here's how Miller Vein uses them:

Ultrasounds at Miller Vein

At Miller Vein, ultrasounds are used daily for patient care, largely for new patient consultations. This is where our RVTs come in.

Registered Vascular Technologists (RVTs) operate an ultrasound machine to check for abnormalities in a patient’s vascular system.

Step-by-Step Demonstration

Receiving an ultrasound is not as scary as it can sound. The process is simple, efficient, and can even be relaxing. To learn more about how Miller Vein conducts ultrasounds, watch the video below for a step-by-step demonstration:
