If you're dealing with leg pain, swelling, varicose veins, or a wound that won't heal, the last thing you should have to worry about is insurance.

The short answer: yes. Miller Vein accepts most major insurance plans. And just as importantly, we verify everything for you before your visit, so there are no surprises.

You Don't Have to Figure This Out Yourself

Insurance can be confusing. Deductibles, copays, coinsurance, networks, prior authorizations. These are the details that actually determine what you owe, and most patients aren't sure where their own plan lands on any of them.

You don't need to become an expert just to get care. Our billing team handles this for you. When you schedule with Miller Vein:

  • We verify your insurance benefits

  • We confirm if your visit and testing are covered

  • We let you know upfront what to expect

Our goal is simple: make this easy so you can focus on getting better.

Conditions and Services Covered by Insurance

Many people are surprised to learn that vein and vascular care is often medically necessary, not cosmetic.

Insurance typically covers evaluation and treatment for:

  • Varicose veins, especially when causing pain, heaviness, or swelling

  • Lymphedema and lipedema

  • Chronic wounds or ulcers

  • Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or blood clots

  • Restless leg symptoms related to vein disease

In most cases, this includes:

  • Office visits

  • Ultrasound testing

  • Minimally invasive procedures

What's usually not covered:

  • Spider vein treatment, because it is considered cosmetic

Exception: Some plans, including certain MESSA plans for Michigan educators, may cover spider vein treatment. We can check that for you.

Accepted Insurance Plans

Miller Vein accepts over 700 insurance plans, including most major carriers:

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield / Blue Care Network

  • Cigna

  • HAP (Health Alliance Plan)

  • Humana

  • McLaren Health

  • Medicare

  • Medicaid

  • Meridian

  • Priority Health

  • Tricare

  • UnitedHealthcare

Additional accepted plans include:

  • ASR Health Benefits

  • Champva

  • Cofinity

  • GEHA

  • Medical Mutual of Ohio

  • Molina Healthcare

  • NGS Healthsource

  • Paramount Health Care

  • Trustmark Health Benefits

  • UnitedHealthOne

  • United Medical Resources

  • Wellcare Healthplans

If you don't see your plan listed, still reach out. There's a very good chance we accept it.

What If I Don't Have Insurance?

You still have options.

We offer:

  • Transparent self-pay pricing

  • Flexible payment options

  • CareCredit® financing, which lets you break the cost of treatment into manageable monthly payments, often with promotional financing available

Our team will walk you through the costs clearly so you can make an informed decision. No pressure.

The Most Important Step: Get Checked

Many patients delay care because they're unsure about insurance, and end up living with symptoms far longer than they should.

Here's the reality:

  • Most vein conditions are progressive, meaning they tend to worsen without treatment

  • Many are covered by insurance

  • Evaluation itself is quick, non-invasive, and often fully covered
