Dr. Nora Toma, D.O., is a board-certified physician specializing in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and Emergency Medicine. With extensive training and a compassionate approach, Dr. Toma is committed to delivering patient-centered care that improves health and enhances quality of life.
Education and Training
Dr. Toma earned her Bachelor of Science in Philosophy, graduating Summa Cum Laude with Departmental Honors from Oakland University, where she was also a National Honors Society member for four years. She completed her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her postgraduate training included a residency in Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital, where she later served as Associate Director of the Emergency Medicine Clerkship and ACOEP Representative.
Certifications and Affiliations
Dr. Toma is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine and holds certifications from the National Registry of Medical Examiners, ACLS, and BLS. She also has Controlled Substance and DEA Licenses. She is an active member of the American Society of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians.

Beyond Medicine
Born in Stoke-on-Trent, England, and raised in Metro Detroit, Dr. Toma proudly embraces her Chaldean American heritage. She is a devoted mother of three active kids and a Labrador retriever and enjoys yoga, rowing, biking, travel, history, music, and dancing. An advocate for her community, she actively supports the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, a Christian faith-based non-profit organization. As a passionate Detroit sports fan, she loves cheering on her hometown teams.
