Have you heard of the Matthew Bittker Foundation? If not, we’re here to tell you.
For years during the last week of January, Miller Vein has partnered with the Matthew Bittker Foundation to help raise money for pediatric cancer research. Here’s what you need to know.
If these symptoms sound familiar, full range of vein treatments can address the root cause — not just the discomfort.
The Matthew Bittker Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises money for pediatric cancer research. The MBF was founded in the late 2000s to honor the memory of Matthew Bittker.
For more background, our guide to vein conditions we treat covers causes, symptoms, and warning signs.
Matthew Bittker was a vibrant and humorous young boy, who touched many lives around him. In early 2006, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is the second most common form of pediatric cancer. This cancer can start in the sympathetic nervous system, adrenal glands, or nerve tissue, and spread throughout the body.
Matthew, after a long-fought battle with cancer, passed away on July 20, 2007. His memory lives on through this foundation.
For the week of January 26th through January 31st, Miller Vein is partnering with the Matthew Bittker Foundation to help raise money for pediatric cancer research.
Miller Vein is offering a 20% discount on VeinErase® treatments and in-stock compression stockings when you donate $50 or more to the Matthew Bittker Foundation.
